Cities, landscapes and interesting places

Post by Yuli Ban »

In this thread, however, we post images and media of places around Earth that may be filled with interesting lifeforms, but what we're more interested in is the pure ambience and scenery

I've been meaning to use such a scene for a story. Actually, I think this did inspire one in an Amazon ebook I wrote; this one passage from Ghosts of Smoke about splotches of sunlight on colorful plains and whatnot.

The video plays on the forum just by hitting "Play" though, unless I'm missing something

I often switch between Firefox and Chrome, and was browsing in Firefox when I posted that. Yeah, in Chrome there's a play button, which appears when you mouseover. It's less obvious in Firefox, as there isn't a play button, but you can just click the image and it should play.

Apparently, the statue is located in Dublin, Ireland. I guess the photo is copyright protected, hence the need for a link.

Big Sur, California. I think that is Bixby Bridge, but the obstruction of the view of part of the bridge makes it hard for me to know for sure. If memory serves me correct, there are several bridges along the coast in the Big Sur area.
