What's disappointing about star trek the last 10-15 years is how little progress star fleet achieves between 300 to 1000 years from now. In the star trek universe you see literally 500-1000 years of progress in the next 200 to 350 years then boom it all goes to shit.

It is quite sad.

You'd think you'd see teleportation that can travel between planets in a blink of an eye, which frankly would have kept star fleet connected through the burn. I know that one species has it but why not star fleet? LIke wtf? Sure that one ship has sigurality drive but you'd think in 1000 years after 800 years traveling between planets that would quickly become common. You know if you can achieve it why not make it normal? Isn't the rumulans already using it? for fucks sake.

It is like they lost half of their progress that was made in just 400 years from our current date.

And lastly you think us gays would have the ability to have babies without women in 1000 years? You'd think we could just literally give our dna and that of our partner and boom a baby!

What I don't like about modern star trek is how little imagination it has. The old shows moved society forward. New ones don't.Our enemies are right to point that out and we're losing because we don't offer anything to counter this reality.
