So it now looks like Ida is going to hit New Orleans area as a Category 5. I think there needs to be some serious discussions being had on the future of this city and whether it should be rebuilt or if it is time to start relocating people. This is expensive and it is going to start occurring more frequently and not less...

New Orleans is now right smack in the path of Ida's dangerous right side. You don't want to be on the right side of hurricanes as that's where the winds are the strongest due to relative movement of the hurricane as a whole.
