I'd like to see laws change to allow disabled and old people

I'd like to see laws change to allow disabled and old people to own a driverless car in the future without having a license. The car could simply make it impossible for you to drive it without a license. Maybe there would be a scanner of ones License or id card in the future to start the car instead of keys?

This tech could be put into any car and would and should become standard across the auto industry. A disabled person, old person or person that is unable to get a license could simply scan their id card and that would limit them to driverless car mode.


Example: Lets say you're old and in a wheel chair. You want a wheel chair van. Well, such would allow you to buy that and get around. Another example would be lets say you're 80 years old and no longer can see good enough to get a license! With the right changes in the law you never have to worry about being without a car.

Do you need one now? You'd just be a passenger.

Granted there are (currently) no fully automated driverless cars where it is impossible to "go manual".
