Can't wait to start generating my own series, or modding animations for specific games seamlessly. Because it only gets better from here on out:

Warning to UK politicians over the risk of audio deepfakes that could derail the election
https://news.sky.com/story/warning-to-u ... n-13146573Sunday 2 June 2024 11:27, UK
As AI deepfakes cause havoc during other elections, experts warn the UK's politicians should be prepared.
"Just tell me what you had for breakfast", says Mike Narouei, of ControlAI, recording on his laptop. I speak for around 15 seconds, about my toast, coffee and journey to their offices.
Within seconds, I hear my own voice, saying something entirely different.
In this case, words I have written: "Deepfakes can be extremely realistic and have the ability to disrupt our politics and damage our trust in the democratic process."
Tamara Cohen's voice being turned into a deepfake
We have used free software, it hasn't taken any advanced technical skills, and the whole thing has taken next to no time at all.
“In the quantum multiverse, every choice, every decision you've ever and never made exists in an unimaginably vast ensemble of parallel universes.”

London cinema drops AI-written film after backlash
3 hours ago
A central London cinema has cancelled a private screening of a film which was entirely written using artificial intelligence (AI) following a public backlash.
The Prince Charles Cinema in Soho was due to host the world premiere of The Last Screenwriter, which was created by ChatGPT, on Sunday.
However, when concerns were raised by people about "the use of AI in place of a writer", the cinema announced that the screening had been axed.
In a statement shared on Instagram, it said the response by its customers "speaks to a wider issue within the industry".
Created by Peter Luisi, the movie has been marketed as the "first feature film written entirely by AI".

I'm trying to be as nice as possible, but just wtf man?
If it's good, it's good. If it's bad, it's bad. I don't care how it's written.
If it's about technological unemployment, eventually we will all be in the same boat.

Massive multiplayer dreams. I'm willing to pay for that.

Meta Developed a Method for Watermarking AI-Generated Audio—But It Won't Use It
The company reportedly has 'no plans' to implement AudioSeal, which could otherwise help internet users differentiate AI-generated speech from real speech.

I can't disagree with meta as I believe art and music should probably be considered a item of the public. I can understand why the rich and people that want to make money off their music and art don't like that they don't...but hell.If we're beginning to put watermarks on artificial intelligence-generated visual content, the logical next step would be to do the same for audio. Meta has devised a method for watermarking and detecting AI-generated audio clips, even if only part of the clip was artificially made. The tool, called AudioSeal, could help internet users differentiate fake speech and other sounds from real audio. There's just one little problem: Meta doesn't actually plan on using it.

New tool detects AI-generated videos with 93.7% accuracy

Earlier this year, an employee at a multinational corporation sent fraudsters $25 million. The instructions to transfer the money came—the employee thought—straight from the company's CFO. In reality, the criminals had used an AI program to generate realistic videos of the CFO and several other colleagues in an elaborate scheme.
Videos created by AI have become so realistic that humans (and existing detection systems) struggle to distinguish between real and fake videos. To address this problem, Columbia Engineering researchers, led by Computer Science Professor Junfeng Yang, have developed a new tool to detect AI-generated video called DIVID, short for DIffusion-generated VIdeo Detector. DIVID expands on work the team released earlier this year–Raidar, which detects AI-generated text by analyzing the text itself, without needing to access the inner workings of large language models.

Read more here: https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/m ... snnews11(Variety) Morgan Freeman shared a note giving thanks to his fans Friday morning, expressing gratitude for users' efforts calling out unauthorized AI imitations of the actor's recognizable voice.
The celebrated 87-year-old actor has become legend for his narration in films such as "March of the Penguins," "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Million Dollar Baby." The sterling reputation of Freeman's voice has made him a particularly popular target of AI-generated voice imitations, including in a recent viral series of TikToks created by a woman posing as the actor's "nepo niece." Freeman is not a fan of the practice.
"Thank you to my incredible fans for your vigilance and support in calling out the unauthorized use of an A.I. voice imitating me," the actor wrote. "Your dedication helps authenticity and integrity remain paramount. Grateful. #AI #scam #imitation #IdentityProtection"
