Elon Musk interview at the Code Conference 2016

This week, Recode hosted its flagship Code Conference – bringing together industry leaders to explore the impact technology is having on the world. Among the guests was entrepreneur Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla. In this interview with Recode's Kara Swisher and The Verge's Walt Mossberg, he confirms that the Falcon Heavy will be launched later this year. He talks about his plans to send a one-way rocket to Mars in 2018 and estimates that human colonists could start arriving on the Red Planet by 2025. Musk also talks about the proliferation of electric vehicles and why autonomous cars will soon become the norm. Musk says he doesn't see Google as a competitor, but that "Apple will be more direct." He also talks about why more people should have access to the power of AI.
