The late-2020s is entering the point on the graph where the climate-change line was growing slowly and stably but is skyrocketing exponentially where humanity will start experiencing first-hand ecological disasters that have been slowly building up from climate-abuse since Industrialization. Ironically, humanity is less climate-abusive than we were in the 1960s, however, the global population is several billion larger which means we are entering the point where climate-abuse related catastrophes are going to no longer be scientific warnings, but a lived reality for every single human on Earth. Some countries will fare a lot better than others, however, all nations will suffer. This disruption will cause mass-migration in water-scarce regions of the planet, such as Africa and Central Asia/Middle East.
What to expect:
— Underwater Florida and vulnerable island-nations collapsing.
— Migration from western states such as Nevada, Arizona, etc… to more continental and subtropical states with more moisture.
— Coastal cities experiencing flooding in certain areas (although sea-level won’t rise high enough to devastate most coastal communities that are built on rugged terrain and/or aren’t immediately above sea-level).
— Mass migration to “Melting-Pot” nations such as the United States and Canada.
— Wars in arid and semi-arid regions over water rights.
— Global famines from food supply-chain collapses
— Entire cities and countries collapsing (although this will be extremely disproportionate).
That being said, humanity will adapt and over the next century or two will learn to respect nature more and it will be evident in their urban planning and how they harvest energy.
