In the last iteration of this forum there was a thread showing evil things or debatably evil people doing evil things etc I think the thread was called "Evil".

Definitely stupidity and the government is doing the wrong thing by getting rid of masks and other Covid related things, watch this space we will enter a third wave within weeks.

I dunno, this feels more fitting for the Scumbags or Dumbasses thread. Sure he should've known better by now, but "evil" is a bit strong.

I think "evil" is apt because who knows how many people will die by this conscious decision of going to this match knowing they are carrying a pathogen capable of mass deaths.

In Ben Shapiro's defense, that article was written 19 years ago, when he was a teenager. It was also written shortly after 9/11, when many Americans were still very angry hurt by the attacks. We weren't in our right minds (which George W. Bush seized upon).

A South Carolina man will spend the next three decades in prison after pleading guilty to live-streaming himself sexually assaulting a 22-month-old toddler on Skype.

David James Allison, a 33-year-old from Bluffton, assaulted the victim approximately five times between September 2019 and December 2019, authorities say.

“These were unspeakably depraved acts against a victim that epitomizes vulnerability,” Assistant Solicitor Julie Kate Keeney said in a statement.

That's your opinion. I respect that, but there is something to be said about prioritizing a growing mass of cells, which is not yet conscious as it is in the case in most abortions, over the autonomy of a fully conscious woman's decision not to or to carry it to full term. Banning abortions because it is an affront to your sensibilities is no different than a theocracy imposing its will on the populace on religious/moral grounds. The real evil here is doing something arbitrary as unilaterally deciding the fetus has a "life therefore it has right to life" and then using circular reasoning to argue that it must be protected at the expense of the woman's right to privacy and autonomy as a real, conscious human being. None of this reasoning makes any sense and yet it's been used to ban abortion in a growing number of states. That is the real evil, my friend.
