Neuralink hacking predictions?

Post by iridescentrae »

What types of hacks do you think we’ll see once Neuralink is released? People dying, people slowly plotting to take over the world, both...?

Would you know if someone is hacked? What about ELF technology? Will hacking be common? It seems like we should just avoid Neuralink altogether...

Same as with computers now. I suppose the usual effects of hacking, of course, paired with what you mentioned of people dying, being used or getting their brain's memories rewritten as shown in a Cyberpunk 2077 side mission, so many other effects. Since it is from the same group making Tesla I'm sure many are waiting for the implants to be secure so they don't get hacked and people fry their brains.

I guess some effects of being hacked won't be obvious unless they start doing the funky chicken and going on some spree of sort. ELF tech as it stands per words floating around the net of years past can do quite a bit I hear to the human brain so if the implants get targeted and it cannot defend against such frequencies doing whatever to it it will have disastrous effects. I suppose since there are quite a contingent of amateur and professional intelligent people out there who can do all sorts of things with tech or create rudimentary tech to hack people there will be all sorts of exotic ways attempted to hack the implants. I don't consider myself part of this group since it is usually engineers and the sort creating such materials.

As for the tagged post I suppose that would be one of many unsettling ways those implants could get personal. Maybe later editions that are better won't be so embarassing if someone decides to start their journey to at least a little cyborg in their life. There is always the other cool tech like nanotech, gene therapy, etc for those deciding to wait for the tech to get better or watch at least if that is what they want to do.
