If you could ask a super a.i for one advance. What would it be?

Anti-aging pill. One that could stop aging and reverse to the prime of your life. This pill could be taken every decade or so to maintain such after a certain amount of time.

This alone is worth having the super a.i!

Anti-aging is obviously the big one. It's the bedrock on which everything else stands. Without it, you're dead, and don't get to experience the centuries and millennia to come.

I also hope we get mind uploading at some point, to make ourselves even more resilient to damage. I'm convinced it's technically possible.

My third choice would be light-speed travel. Or faster-than-light if that's possible. Maybe some form of wormhole and/or teleportation, although I suspect the energies required are truly gigantic, so that's probably something for the very distant future. But that would open up the entire galaxy and beyond for exploration.

But this thread is asking for one advance, so I guess it will have to be anti-aging. A quite boring answer, but the most logical.

Disease (including aging)
Help us crack biology to solve diseases. More than anything else, that would be worth it.


After that, room temperature superconductors, molecular assembly, and proving P=NP would be the logical secondary answers. Honestly, if those four were solved, said super AI could literally self-destruct and leave the rest to humans and I'd feel little loss. Though I'd rather still have robots, and utility droids need at least some amount of general AI capability, so... (also I'm adamant that we need robots to make any sort of deep space travel possible)

Assuming the above were to get solved for anyways, I'd say FDVR would be my biggest ask, and I truly mean the full deal. I'd also want FDVR to be where you can experience lifetimes and only very little time passes outside of reality.

I've also often wanted my own person room of space and time, where I could just enter and have all the time in the world to learn something. Kind of like the simulated environments where robots can train for decades to centuries. I'd suppose FDVR would be able to accomplish this as well.
