Should our world form the federation?

Should our world form the federation? Meaning all major nations can be part of it and we can work together towards the advancement of humanity outwards into space.

Our space force can be the United states arm of it and provides its skills and infrastructure.

We can make Elon musk the first admin of it! Each nation can of course provide vice admins: china, india, japan, the uk, france, Russia, etc.

Our goals should be to advance humanity outwards into space, take resources of the planets, asteroids, etcs and for the defense of humanity be it against aliens or asteroids.

We could work with china, russia, brazil, japan and india to build ships capable of getting humanity to the moon, mars, and outwards. and maybe even one day to the nearest earth like planet!

No. Many existing nation states are already too big and out of touch.

TRUMP, with the assistance of Grand Vizier Elon, will turn America into an interstellar Empire if He wins.

We need a modern version of Alexander the Great for this.

Realistically the ISS is a tiny version of this? The James Webb itself is amazing proof of what we could be accomplishing as a species with different priorities I suppose.

In practice though, there are way too many issues each country has with trusting one another if we're talking about a United Nations version of NASA. Perhaps we'd even need actual alien visitation to necessitate the creation of such an international agency; one could see a scenario where in that case we'd lay aside our standard issues to focus solely on the "visitors" with greater levels of space program funding.

Let's be real, this isn't and never will be a question of "should" or "shouldn't", it's a question of "will we ever be in the position where we can?" Because we can't make a Federation in a world where we have both democracies and authoritarianism/autocracies vying for power. We can't have a Federation with an EU trying to spread peaceful cooperation and a China trying to take over all the regional resources of East Asia by force and bullying their neighbors. There'll never be a Federation while the US makes allies with autocracies that are against our values just because they're also opposed to our foes. We'll never be a Federation while Russia is, well, the way Russia's always been it seems (was it ever not an authoritarian shithole?). We'll never be a Federation while Israel and the rest of the Middle East are always in contention against each other. Or while the Middle East remains a haven for terrorists to be political powers like Hamas or the Taliban. Or while gangs rule Haiti. Or much of Mexico or South America is under drug cartels. Or...honestly I could just start naming every dictatorship at this point, or the way money and corporations have corrupted political power in the US, or the far right's rise in so much of the world.

We need to get our shit together the world over before we even consider some kind of worldwide federation.

We have to find away to end human division. Would increasing intelligence help with this?

No, intelligence has never been the driving force of division. It's always been greed, arrogance, narcissism, and varying levels of sociopathy and psychopathy. Traits that people of all intellectual ranges can possess.

Mind, this is only discussing the nature of division itself. Intelligence, mostly higher education to be honest, has always been the bane of dictators and authoritarians throughout history. A more educated populace sees through the BS authoritarians count on to to influence more ignorant masses, a more educated populace questions the methods and motives of these types. But this is merely a means to help lower authoritarian power and oppression, to an extent. Which helps reduce division somewhat. But it's not enough.
