Israel pushes Gaza death toll to 46,000 as US boosts truce efforts

The latest killings came as the U.S. stepped up efforts to overcome sticking points between Israel and Hamas to reach a cease-fire to end the war. One of the airstrikes killed at least 10 people in a multi-story house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City on Wednesday, while another killed five in the nearby Zeitoun suburb, medics said.
On Tuesday, Israeli military strikes killed at least 24 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, medics said, with two airstrikes hitting tent encampments in Mawasi, to the west of the southern city of Khan Younis, killing 18 people. The dead included several women and children.
There was no comment by the Israeli military on those incidents.

WASHINGTON, Jan 25 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's White House has instructed the U.S. military to release a hold imposed by the Biden administration on the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, a White House source told Reuters on Saturday.
The move was widely expected. Biden put the hold on the delivery of those bombs due to concern over the impact they could have in Israel's war with Hamas in Gaza. A ceasefire to halt the war was recently agreed.
The Biden administration's particular concern had been over the use of such large bombs in the city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians in Gaza had taken refuge.

Trump won’t rule out deploying US troops to support rebuilding Gaza, sees ‘long-term’ US ownership

While there may be a legitimate problem in regards to ensuring home safety for Gazans, dude is essentially proposing ethnic cleansing. This is sickening.
The f-ck does he want to do when they naturally refuse? Load them onto cattle cars?

You already stated what he wants when they refuse - ethnic cleansing. That's been the whole endgame for Nethanyahu and Trump's 100% on board.firestar464 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:27 am Trump won’t rule out deploying US troops to support rebuilding Gaza, sees ‘long-term’ US ownership

Trump: All hell is going to break out if Hamas doesn't release all hostages by Saturday

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the precarious cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas should be canceled if the terrorist group doesn't release all the remaining hostages it is holding in Gaza by midday on Saturday.
In comments to reporters as he signed a series of executive orders in the Oval Office, Trump said it was ultimately up to Israel. But he warned that "all hell is going to break out" if the remaining hostages aren't released, and added that he feared many were dead. Trump also said, however, "I'm speaking for myself. Israel can override it." He then suggested he might withhold U.S. aid to Jordan and Egypt if they refuse to accept Palestinian refugees displaced from Gaza.
The remarks come as Trump continues to push for a controversial plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza, a proposal that has drawn widespread criticism from Arab leaders and international organizations.
Neither Jordan nor Egypt has signaled a willingness to absorb Palestinian refugees, and both nations have historically opposed any forced resettlement outside of Gaza.
