Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has repeatedly denied knowing about the Project 2025 policy blueprint or the people behind it. “Have no idea who is in charge of it,” he wrote in a social media post in July. But in April 2022, Trump shared a 45-minute private flight with Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, according to people familiar with the trip, plane-tracking data and a photograph from on board the plane, which has not been previously reported. They flew together to a Heritage conference where Trump delivered a keynote address that gestured to Heritage’s forthcoming policy proposals. “They’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do,” Trump said in the speech.

Separately, Roberts told The Washington Post in an interview in April of this year that he had previously discussed Project 2025 with Trump as part of offering briefings to all presidential candidates. “I personally have talked to President Trump about Project 2025,” he said in the interview, “because my role in the project has been to make sure that all of the candidates who have responded to our offer for a briefing on Project 2025 get one from me.”

Labour councillor Ricky Jones arrested after allegedly telling protest 'fascists need to have throats cut'

A suspended Labour councillor has been arrested after allegedly telling a protest that fascists needed to have their throats cut.

Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest in a tweet which included the original video of Ricky Jones, a local councillor in Dartford in Kent, appearing to make the comments.

The force said: "Officers have arrested a man aged in his 50s at an address in south-east London.

"He was held on suspicion of encouraging murder and for an offence under the Public Order Act. He is in custody at a south London police station."

In the clip reposted by the Met, a man tells a crowd: "They are disgusting Nazi fascists and we need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all."

Project 2025 Will End Education As We Know It

With the Democratic nomination seemingly comfortably in Kamala Harris' hands, the 2020 presidential election can now turn to issues of policy. While Donald Trump has pretended to disavow the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 in favor of his vague party platform, it is clear that the Project 2025 will shape his administration's priorities if he's elected.

When it comes to K-12 and higher education, Project 2025 is a bold blueprint for disaster in American education. It seeks to unravel decades-long efforts to cultivate equitable learning spaces and systems. If implemented, it would unwind critical protections for American schoolchildren, college students, and erase any effort from the federal government to improve America's schools.

Here is why you should be alarmed.

Feel like we don't pay India much mind in all this, when they may actually be even closer to outright Fascism than Israel or the USA
America might be able to kick the can down the road if Harris wins (I still say Trump could pull an upset, but actually, I'm increasingly convinced Harris might ACTUALLY win when I was 100% doubtful when she first emerged). The UK overwhelmingly rejected and combatted the far-right trying to cause civil unrest, as did France.
So it would be the most horrific irony if capital-F fascism re-emerged not in the West but the East*

Not going to lie, it's still pretty difficult to take seriously because of how trashy it looks. You look in a history book, and you immediately take the previous "iterations" with pause because they at least look/act like serious threats. I know it's something superficial to reference, but whatever. More than willing to be they don't really care/understand anything about actual policy anyways and are just wearing that as an unironic "own the libs."

Still amazed a New Yorker styled grifter was the one to spark such fever.
