Alexa tells 10-year-old girl to touch live plug with penny

Amazon has updated its Alexa voice assistant after it "challenged" a 10-year-old girl to touch a coin to the prongs of a half-inserted plug.
The suggestion came after the girl asked Alexa for a "challenge to do".
"Plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs," the smart speaker said.
Amazon said it fixed the error as soon as the company became aware of it.
The girl's mother, Kristin Livdahl, described the incident on Twitter.

A vote for Trump, a third party candidate, or no vote at all, is a vote for a dystopian future.

That's... huh... quite disturbing. Some movie writer somewhere is getting ideas for a sci-fi horror flick.
To know is essentially the same as not knowing. The only thing that occurs is the rearrangement of atoms in your brain.

Way ahead of you.
Fun fact about "NEXT" (2020) is that the entire trailer for said show was apparently done via AI itself or machine learning:
‘NeXt’ on FOX: Show trailer created completely by artificial intelligence

Personally, I found this show to be a good deal more accurate for this particular scenario than Transcendence was. While not perfect, it's a more realistic take for what an escaped rogue A.I. might look like. Perhaps, we might already be living in such a scenario right now?

One of the reasons why we fear misaligned, glitchy, malevolent and misunderstanding artificial intelligence.wjfox wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 11:43 am Alexa tells 10-year-old girl to touch live plug with penny

If malevolent, it could get humans to do stupid, suicidal, and dangerous things.
If misaligned or unable to understand consequences, it could find such a thing as touching electrified prongs as logical
And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future
