Generative AI tools—artificial intelligence models that can create images, texts, videos, or other content in short periods of time—have recently become increasingly popular, especially after the public release of ChatGPT. ChatGPT, the popular chatbot by OpenAI, is now being used by countless users worldwide to source information and even produce creative texts or academic essays.

The use of ChatGPT by students is already sparking considerable debate, as it could lead to students being graded on assignments that they did not produce themselves and potentially even dishonestly advancing in classes that they did not study for. A team of researchers at Columbia University recently developed Scraft, a generative AI-based system that can support students' learning, instead of helping them to cheat on their assignments.

Microsoft ramps up A.I. game with bet on startup that helps coding novices build apps
Source: CNBC
LONDON — Microsoft invested an undisclosed sum into Builder.ai, a startup that helps companies make applications without any coding experience, doubling down on its artificial intelligence efforts.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in London, Builder.ai falls into the camp of startups that make so-called “no-code” and “low-code” platforms. Its software allows anyone from tech-shy artists looking to sell their work online to design professionals with limited programming experience to develop and manage apps.

Through a strategic partnership, Microsoft plans to integrate Builder.ai’s own AI assistant Natasha into its Teams video and chat software to let customers build business apps within the platform. Builder.ai will also enhance Natasha by leveraging Microsoft’s AI algorithms to make it sound more human, the company said.

“We’re all convinced that the future of software is going to be where the customer doesn’t need to be technical,” Duggal told CNBC in an interview. “What we’re really doing is bringing together a world where customers are able to build software, run software, host software.”

Yeah, I'm thinking this is about to become a big thing in Hollywood as well. Star Trek Picard actually utilized similar methods to de-age Picard, Riker, Troi, and Q at various points. In a sense, one could consider this a form of digital immortality, assuming said actors allowed their likeness to be utilized further after death.

On Instagram this is happening a little bit. I'm not sure if they are artificial intelligence created profiles or what though the same hazy outline on the faces appears for some random people. And no it is not mentioned as a filter. I've even seen some dudes have it though it is a bit more stealthy because dudes usually don't care about the lighting and everything so it blends right in to where you can just barely tell.

Between stuff like that and AI created potential for fake news along with that article making its rounds about the Turkey elections claiming deepfakes officially while going through the process for office its gonna get real weird soon. I think Deus Ex Human Revolution must have been, along with Mankind Divided, the curated society after this ambiguous AI weirdness era gets fixed.
