Too bad to see NASA cancelling this but I hope another company gets the chance and buys it and we will eventually see what will be in the Ice in the Moon's South Pole one day.wjfox wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 9:07 pm VIPER got cancelled.

4000 AD: Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) has been naturally reabsorbed
According to Wikipedia: "Sulfur hexafluoride is inert in the troposphere and stratosphere and is extremely long-lived, with an estimated atmospheric lifetime of 800 to 3,200 years."

The chance of 1950 DA impacting the Earth on March 16, 2880 has now declined to 1 in 2600.

On that note, perhaps 2010 RF12 should be added to the entry for 2095. It has a 1 in 10 chance of impacting the Earth on September 5, 2095.

Re: New predictions for the timeline
I do hope this can be my one suggestion that eventually makes it to the timeline, as we are very, very likely to raise Earth's CO2 levels to above 450 ppm by 2050. According to the paper this graphic is from, if CO2 rises above 550 ppm, then there will be no drop in insolation within the next 500,000 years that is strong enough to trigger a new ice age.TrueAnimationFan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 10:20 pm 500,000 AD - Glacial periods become possible on Earth again
