My official stance is that the technological singularity won't happen because new developments in science, technology and other domains will never get so rapid that unaugmented humans will not be able to keep track of them. This will even be the case after artificial general intelligence is created....

I arrived at the old version of the Futuretimeline forum as a refugee from KurzweilAI.net, but I arrive at this new version on the first day of its existence, as a founding member. It's a good day.
